About Morgan

Morgan J. Watchorn is the author of fantasy and sci-fi books that feature unapologetic girls at the heart of cataclysms—either fighting or causing them. Her debut YA fantasy novel Fire to the Stars has received significant accolades from the American Booksellers Association, having been chosen for the Indies Introduce Summer/Fall 2026 list and the September/October 2026 Kids’ Indie Next list. Fire to the Stars is now available everywhere books are sold in the US and Canada.

A Southern California native, Morgan graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of California, Irvine with a bachelor’s degree in Japanese Language and Literature and an overachiever complex that both haunts and motivates her to this day. Her manga and novel translations can be found in most major bookstores. When she’s not writing, she can be found at the barn with her spoiled horses.
