COVER REVEAL! Kismat Connection by Ananya Devarajan

I knew this book would become published on day one.

I’m not kidding. Day. ONE. Ananya Devarajan and I were chatting late one night, both sleep-fogged and fighting for that next magical book idea. As dutiful friends and critique partners do, I read the first draft of her outline, blinked the sleep from my eyes, then typed one sentence:

Ananya, this is going to be the one.

Not all book sales can be predicted, of course. I’m no market genius. But something about KISMAT CONNECTION hit right. There were so few Indian-American romances available at the time, but an audience had already been proven by a handful of similar, bestselling authors. I’m under no illusion that BIPOC authors don’t face more obstacles to publication than their white counterparts (they absolutely do), but call it a hunch, kismat, or something else, this book just felt invincible. Ananya baked potent human truths into her book. Desperation for control, fear of the future, the desire to be loved—themes that, once I read the first draft, made me feel seen in a way I wish I had experienced when I was a teen. I think anyone who picks up this book will feel as if they’ve found catharsis and solace enough to take control of their destiny.

I strongly encourage readers to pick up a copy. Trust me—KISMAT CONNECTION was destined to exist.
